Most Guys in the Gym Train Like Teenage Girls
Scrolling between sets. Quarter-rep squats. 45 minutes of bicep curls. If this sounds familiar, your training needs a reality check.

Harsh Truth
I see it every single day in the gym. Guys who've been coming for months, even years, doing the same light weights, scrolling their phone between sets, doing quarter-rep squats and calling it a workout.
I'm not trying to be rude. But if your training looks like that, you're wasting your time.
What Actually Builds Muscle
Muscle grows in response to progressive overload. That means you need to be lifting heavier or doing more reps over time. If you're curling the same 10kg dumbbells you picked up 6 months ago, your body has zero reason to change.
The Mistakes I See Most
1. Phone between every set. 5-minute rest periods scrolling Instagram. Your heart rate drops, your focus drops, your session takes 90 minutes and you did 12 actual working sets.
2. Avoiding compound lifts. All machines, all isolation work. No squats, no deadlifts, no pull-ups. You're training individual muscles when you should be training movements.
3. No tracking. You don't know what you lifted last week, so you can't beat it this week.
4. No intensity. Sets ending 5 reps from failure aren't doing anything. You need to be within 1-2 reps of failure on your working sets.
What a Real Session Looks Like
The Result
Train like this 3-4 times a week and you'll out-progress 90% of the gym within 6 months. Not because you're special. Because most people refuse to train with actual intent.
